Jhopri at Plainsboro - We had a catering order for around 60 people for an Indian festival. Food was excellent and the guests enjoyed it. Nilesh at the front desk was very helpful.
Crazy insane tasty fresh check check check check check all the boxes i'm from japan and i've had some great indian living in London and San Jose area for awhile, this place matches up to the best of places without spending $25+ on tandoori chicken, and the paneer masala had me in a euphoric chokehold. my wife and I split 2 entree dishes and it was too much food for us haha the value and portion are serious big cravers step up please!
Amazing place with very varied type of flavors. Food was super ! Try their non-veg Tandoori platter! Looking forward to the fiesta sunday on the month when they serve pure vegetarian food on a banana leaf ! Definitely a place yo visit in The Princeton area. On fridays they have live singers. The owner (Venkat) and manager (Nilesh) are great humans and we had some interesting conversations.
I've been going to Jhopri since its inception and have always been a fan. However, recently, I held two events here and was sorely disappointed by the food. Some items were cold and others were over cooked. My husband I decided to give it one last shot and try their Valentine's Day Pre-fix Menu. The food was wonderful and they had live music, which was a nice surprise. It was like we were at a different restaurant with a different chef. The overall, 3.5 rating seems accurate as the consistency in food quality seems to be lacking. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite nice and I've been happy with the overall service.
